Sarah is a marketing and communications specialist with agency and in-house experience and a MSc in Development Studies. Her dissertation focused on the gendered labour market in the global tourism sector, with special focus on how both migration and traditional care work influence career opportunities within the industry. Sarah has focused on tourism studies and gender dimensions throughout her studies and was able to gain insight into the industry whilst working closely with tour operators and destinations for 5 years. She is keen to find workable strategies for the private sector to contribute to long-term equitable development – no catchy, headline-grabbing CSR statements but real, impactful change. Her particular interests lie in policy development and communication.
