Kavita Ashton

Kavita manages all marketing and communications activity for Equality in Tourism. From editing articles to promoting our flagship Gender Equality Champion of the Year Award, she oversees the strategy and content for all our campaigns and digital channels, bringing more than 10 years of experience as a senior writer and content marketer. She also leads the communication strategy for FUTOURWORK, the Horizon Europe research project Equality in Tourism partners in, helping ensure the academic research on worker rights and wellbeing is accessible and creating impact in the industry.

After starting her career at a marketing agency, as a freelancer Kavita has moved towards supporting impact-led organisations. This combined with experience within the marketing team at a regional DMO drew her to Equality in Tourism's mission. She's a frequent traveller herself and is proud to champion a more equitable, sustainable industry.
